Hoi An, Da Nang 2016

I went on a short trip to Da Nang and Hoi An this summer. Here are just some pictures and some suggested places for you guys, hope u find them helpful.

Accommodation:

1. D&C Hotel - no.1 Mai Hac De st, Son Tra, Da Nang.

It's a 3-star hotel, I found the room quite good, very clean, met the 3-star standard. That's all I need for a place to sleep and shower though. The price was also ok, I think around 250.000 VND per night/person. The service was okay, nothing made me upset but Im not really impressed. The location is good too, close to Han River and many top reviewed restaurants.

2. Jollie Villa Homestay Hoi An - 14 Luu Trong Lu, Hoi An

This place was amazing!!! You guys definitely should check it out. Beautiful room, excellent service but very cheap at the same time. I would come back to Hoi An for this homestay!!!

Eating:

My favorite part lahh. Such a pity I cant remember all the places since it's been 5 months since then.

In Da Nang:

- Mi Quang Ba Vi (there are a lot of restaurants under this name, they are all of the same boss though :)).

- Banh Xeo Ba Duong - K280/23, Hoàng Diệu, Quận Hải Châu. The most famous place for Banh xeo in Da Nang. This place is quite hard to find, the banh xeo and especially nem lui is very good. However, bad service. I really hate the staff here.

- Chè Xuan Trang (Vietnamese dessert - no. 1 Le Duan st (and I think there are other places as well). Chè, flan, coconut jelly, all are quite good. Not as good as people say about this place. It's ok if u're craving for some sweets.

- Bánh Bèo Bà Bé - 100 Hoang Van Thu, Quận Hải Châu . Absolutely out of this world! I love this place the most in Da Nang. Super good, super cheap, I can totally have them everyday <3

- Be thui Cau Mong. Sr I can remember the address. We went around and around searching for some high rated places for Be thui Cau Mong on Foody but then every place was closed or the addresses provided were wrong. We finally stopped at a restaurant that the taxi driver recommended. It was very good though, reasonable price. So u can look up this dish online to find a place when u're in Da Nang. Definitely worth trying.

- Hai San Be Man (seafood). It's on Son Tra island I think, a bit far forom the city center. Fresh, delicious, reasonable price <3

In Hoi An

I love Hoi An food much much more than Da Nang :(( Im dying to come back.

- Cao Lau Ba Be: This's just a stall in the traditional market, right in the famous old quarter. U just need to go there and ask any local people, they will show u the way to get to the small shop. Everything in Ba Be's shop were extremely good to me. U should try Cao Lau (specialty of Hoi An), try Mi Quang too, and Banh Vac (or White Rose cake). Then inside that market there are some other shops who sell dessert too.

- Banh Mi Phuong - 2b Phan Chau Trinh st. This is considered the best banh mi shop in Vietnam haha. I dont really know if it's true because Im not a fan of Banh Mi. But my friends were dying for the banh mi here. They eat a lot and even come back on the following day :))

- Com Ga Hoi An (Rice w chicken)- Many shops on the same Phan Chau Trinh st. We ate at Com Ga Ba Buoi (the most famous one), the food were delicious to us. But a lof of ppl say there are other restaurants who did better. Try the sugar cane juice here too, very very refreshing.

- Tube ice-cream: 5.000VND each. Many flavors, however they're not sth fancy. Just soda and different types of milk poured in the tubes the put in the freezer. U find it irresistible so haha Idk why maybe bc they are too small u just keep eating while standing and having a chat with ur friends.

- An Bang Beach in Hoi An

- My Khe Beach in Da Nang

- Dragon Bridge in Da Nang

- Definitely should visit Cu Lao Cham island. We booked the tour through the homestay in Hoi An. Cheaper than other tours I had looked up on Internet. 550.000VND I think (including pick up service, lunch on the island, snorkeling (usually already 200.000VND). U dont have to pay anything more, besides for extra food. The scenery was breath-taking, the seafood was good too.
